These Terms govern your use of Distill by Stillbound (the "app"). By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The service
Distill is an educational whiskey-making simulation. It lets you choose production variables, simulate maturation, and bottle virtual whiskey. The app does not produce, sell, or arrange the sale of alcoholic beverages.
The app is provided for personal, non-commercial entertainment and education. Whiskey scores, flavour profiles, warnings, and reference matches are model outputs, not professional distilling, legal, safety, health, or purchasing advice.
Age requirement
Distill is intended for adults of the legal age required in their country or region. The age gate is an experience safeguard; it does not verify identity or replace your responsibility to comply with local law.
Your content and local data
Your distillery name, bottle names, production choices, and local progress remain yours. The current production candidate stores this information locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining a backup if you delete the app or reset your device; the app does not promise cloud recovery.
The app provides local export and deletion controls where supported by the device. Exporting or sharing a file is your choice and responsibility.
Distiller Mode
Distiller Mode is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase where offered. Payment is processed by Apple or Google through the applicable app store. We do not receive or store your payment-card details. Purchases and restoration are subject to the applicable store's terms and account rules.
The features included in Distiller Mode are described in the purchase sheet and may be updated as the app evolves. A purchase does not transfer ownership of the app or its underlying software.
Acceptable use
You must not reverse engineer, misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app or its distribution services. You must not use the app to promote illegal alcohol production or to provide unsafe instructions to others.
Intellectual property
The app, its name, visual identity, software, written content, illustrations, audio, scoring models, and related materials belong to Stillbound or its licensors. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable licence to use the app; they do not grant permission to copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit it.
Availability and changes
We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app. We will take reasonable care to preserve locally stored data during ordinary updates, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or recovery after device failure.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided as available and without guarantees that every model output will be complete, accurate, or suitable for your particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Distill handles information. The current production candidate does not transmit analytics or advertising data and keeps your whiskey profiles on your device.

Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the app or its legal obligations change. The publication date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, subject to any rights provided by applicable law.
